Das beste oder nichts: DAEL is going to provide all its new vans with a special driver's seat. The goal is to significantly improve the driver's seating position.

DAEL Group will soon start a business training at its own office at Aartsdijkweg 81. This in collaboration with ROC Mondriaan; a school which offers technical education in the Hague. At DAEL Talent, students will get the chance to recieve an Collage degree in Electrical Engineering free of charge. And if they succeed, they are assured of a job at DAEL. This way, DAEL hopes to capture the imminent lack of mechanics in the region. 

DAEL Group aims to reduce the C02 emissions of the company by 10% in 2019, with 2014 as the base year. The results of this objective are measured on a yearly base. This article contains more information about the the emission results in 2016 - 2017.

AMSTERDAM – Enormous pressure on the Dutch airports now that their passenger flow is again breaking all records. As usual, Schiphol Airport will take extra measures to ensure that the passenger and freight traffic during the holidays is properly managed. During the busiest period of the year, DAEL Security employees ensure that all scanning and detection systems at our national airport are functioning at their optimum level.

This week, DAEL Security has held a product demonstration of the Heuresis HBI-120 at its own business premises in Maasdijk. This HBI-120 is a unique handheld backscatter x-ray instrument that enables users to quickly and cost-effectively find concealed explosives, narcotics and other contraband. 

DAEL Data & Electro is currently working on the electrical engineering inside the new business premises of Van Daalen Transport / CARGOBOSS. But before the transport company could move into its new settlement, the building still lacked some security installations. DAEL Data & Electro has taken care of both the camera- and the access installation of the building.

HAELEN - At the beginning of last year, VolkerRail announced that it had selected DAEL Rail to build four track side buildings for the Weert corridor. The construction of the buildings is part of the Program Replacement Train Security (PVT) of ProRail. The traditional relay protection systems are replaced by modern interlocking systems.

SOESTERBERG - "The improvising opponent: a threat without boundaries", with this introduction Major-General Richard Oppelaar opened the DEC C-IED symposium organized by NIDV and the Dutch Defense. The conference took place on 28 March 2018 in the National Military Museum Soesterberg. Almost 150 people participated in the event.

DRUNEN - On 21 March j.l. the DAEL Talent students have visited B.V. Betonindustrie Elshout. As part of the school subject ‘Earthing and Lightning Protection’, students were given a tour of the company and were also given an explanation of the earthing and pressing methods. The aim of the excursion is to complement students’ development in the fields of earthing and lightning protection by providing a professional look at the sheer variety of pressing devices and the challenges they each present.

DAEL Data & Electro is currently working on a renovation project for an office building at Coldenhove. But before this company can move into their new settlement, the building still needs to be renovated. Our colleagues take care of the electrical installation as well as the new music-, fire alarm and evacuation system during this renovation period.

This month, Ruitenburg advisors & accountants reopened their fully renovated office in Maassluis. The renovation of the building located at Industrieweg has now been completed and the building itself has a completely new look. Ruitenburg commissioned DAEL Data & Electro to carry out the entire electrical installation as well as the lighting and data installation.

A correct choice of study is essential for a successful study career. To determine whether the DAEL Talent course ties in with your expectations and capacities, students were invited for our first Open Day on 10 February. Interested students got the chance to meet the teachers and future colleagues and get a taste of the atmosphere. But there was also room for critical questions and we talked with the students about their future at DAEL. Because choosing a new school is not easy!

MAASDIJK – The Hoekse Lijn project is a much-discussed subject within the western metropolitan area. Where MRDH’s investment was first publicly applauded, this has now been a source of great annoyance among travellers who are now forced to use alternative transport. Setbacks with the software and soil on site caused a delay in the conversion. Yet, it is a project where our colleagues have been working hard for months now. GRONINGEN – DAEL Telecom and Huawei have set up a 5G test site at the roof of the University of Groningen with the aim of allowing the students and other collaborators to learn from the work and to showcase their own innovations. This 5G test site has been successfully running for several weeks now. Further tests should provide more insight about enabling a superior network experience and facilitate the rollout of the 5G network in the future.

VUGHT - This week the 7th edition of the NCT Europe 2018 took place at the National Training Center in Vught. DAEL Security was represented for the first time this year with a selection of our portable detection equipment that was showcased to the public. The official partnership with the Dutch Ministry of Defense drew the presence of the most prominent CBRNe stakeholders from all over Europe.
