ASCOT - As Britain’s most valuable race meeting, attracting many of the world’s finest racehorses to compete for millions of pounds in prize money, Royal Ascot is anticipated and revered the world over. Commissioned by Vodafone, DAEL Telecom UK deployed a special events trailer, providing (additional) connectivity to this event.
DAEL Security wins tender Department of Correctional Institutions (Dienst Justitiële Inrichtingen, DJI) to supply access control equipment for almost all judicial institutions in the Netherlands. This concerns Prisons, Houses of Detention, TBS clinics and Youth Institutions. The contract with DJI includes the supply of metal detection gates, hand metal detectors and X-ray baggage screening equipment for the coming years.

SCHIPHOL – Since January 1st , 2019, part of DAEL Security’s FSE team has been relocated into a new airside office at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. The new office is primarily used for service and maintenance of the ETD systems and also offers space to a part of the management employed in Amsterdam. The office space is located on the D pier, at only a short distance from the passenger terminal.
MAASDIJK - At the end of November a multi-day external audit was carried out within the DAEL Group with regard to the recertification in accordance with the new VCA standard 2017 / 6.0. The audit has been successfully completed and the DAEL Group has once again shown its progress in the field of work safety, health, and the environment. The VCA 2017 / 6.0 replaces our current VCA 2008 / 5.1 certification.
OIRSCHOT - Last month, DAEL Security starts a series of demonstrations of the Heuresis HBI-120 at locations of federal and local law enforcement agencies throughout the Netherlands. One of them was held at the Stevenick barracks located near Oirschot last month.
MAASDIJK – Next week, VTM will reopen in their renovated office and service centre in Maasdijk. DAEL Data & Electro has taken care of both the electrical installation as well as the lighting and data installation inside the building.

BADHOEVEDORP – On October 10th the second National BAL Seminar was organised by Martijn van 't Veer and his colleagues from NTCB. The aim of the seminar is to share knowledge with professionals in related fields on a non-profit basis. Almost 130 attendees, mainly consisting of airfreight security experts and government representatives from the Netherlands, joined this interesting and interactive event which took place at the Ramada Hotel in Badhoevedorp. The seminar gave the opportunity to the participants to talk about trends, experiences, incidents and regulations concerning cargo- and aviation security. Robert de Bos acted as chairman of the event.
MAASDIJK – At DAEL Talent, students will get the chance to receive their vocational degree in Electrical Engineering free of charge. And if they succeed, they are assured of a job at DAEL. This week, the second year of the company education started. During a five-day festive and varied program, the students got the opportunity to get acquainted with the company and training program that awaits them.
MAASDIJK - Last month, Be Fresh Produce reopened their office in their fully rebuild HQ in Maasdijk. The construction of the new building, strategically located right next to the A20, has now been completed and the building itself has a completely fresh and modern look.

DAEL Telecom UK puts her temporary masts in operation in order to increase the mobile capacity on festivals held throughout the UK. This on behalf of various mobile operators. The Royal Wedding, Investec Derby and Cowes Week are just a few examples of the events where DAEL Telecom UK has deployed its temporary masts during this festival season.
NAALDWIJK – The explosion of mobile traffic puts immense pressure on mobile networks to deliver the necessary capacity and performance. DAEL Telecom now focuses on expanding and improving the mobile network of our client in order to alleviate these capacity constraints. By placing innovative equipment during the summer months, capacity and 4G speeds in the mobile network continue to increase.

DAEL Telecom UK was selected to complete fieldwork on a site with limited access in the Scottish Highlands. This site is part of the L800 infill geo coverage. Therefore a free standing 15 meter DS006 was constructed using a helicopter.
VOORBURG - At the end of November, Zein Child Care already announced that it had secured a long-term lease on a stunning listed location in Voorburg. But before the day care center can move into their new settlement, the building still needs to be renovated. DAEL Data & Electro takes care of both the electrical installation and the data installation, fire alarm and evacuation system during this renovation period.
DAEL Security has started a training in X-Ray image analysis in cooperation with the Dutch National Training Institute Transport & Aviation [NTCB]. During this one-day course, the NTCB will focus on training security officers from a European security organization in The Hague. This training is specifically tailored to the scanning and detection equipment as supplied by DAEL Security.
All houses and businesses in Culemborg have their power back after a major power blackout on Monday evening. The malfunction was caused by an Apache-helicopter flying low during an exercise. About 24.000 households in and around the city of Culemborg therefore spend a full evening without electricity. DAEL Power helped the affected city and used aggregates to power the mobile transmission masts.
MAASDIJK – DAEL Telecom and DAEL Security have received the keys to the premises of the new joint venture in Zaventem, Belgium. From this location, they will deliver Security and Telecommunication services to clients in Belgium and Luxembourg. The property, consisting of 350m² of storage with 500m² of office, is the sixth establishment of DAEL to open its doors.
DAEL Data & Electro has been working on renovating the current building of Koningshoek Shopping Mall in Maassluis for more than 2,5 years now. Since December last year it is known that DAEL will also provide the electrical installation in the newly constructed facilities. On April 18, the contract between DAEL and principal contractor Van Mierlo was officially signed. The roof has now been closed and therefore work has started in the new phase.
The collaborative project between DAEL, Westland Infra and KPN for the conversion of landlord to own connections and replacement of old kWh meters for new 'smart' measuring equipment is currently terminated. A great opportunity to gain insight into this project.
On Thursday, May 11, 2017, ProRail awarded the 'Fides Work Package 3' to Tribase. Tribase was previously awarded with the 'Fides Work Pack 2'. All operations on behalf of these contracts will be carried out under the licensed agreement between Tribase and DAEL Rail.
