Dutch Flower Group en DAEL Energy join forces for sustainability
Thursday 14 August 2025
DAEL Energy has realized a smart PV installation for Dutch Flower Group (DFG) in Aalsmeer. By analyzing and optimizing the energy consumption of the location, both parties have taken an important step towards a more sustainable and future-proof energy supply.
Smart tools tailored to needs
DAEL Energy analyzed power consumption and mapped user behavior using smart tools. Based on these insights, it became clear which installation of solar panels perfectly matches the energy needs of DFG. Furthermore, efficiency and durability played a major role in making the choice, so that a total of almost 800 solar panels were installed. Because no energy can be returned to the grid, the system switches off panels when the generation is greater than the decrease. Thanks to a smart monitoring system, this is done fully automatically.
Insight via real-time dashboard
Both DFG and DAEL Energy have real-time data from the energy consumption and production of the solar panels via an online dashboard. This smart installation makes it possible to continuously optimize and respond immediately to deviations or opportunities.
The collaboration was smooth and efficient for both parties
Placing the solar panels on the e-Flora building is in line with the sustainability strategy IMPACT2030 of Dutch Flower Group (DFG), the company of which e-Flora is part. Thanks to this investment, e-Flora can now operate almost completely energy neutral. Linda Boekestein, project manager at DFG: “The collaboration with DAEL Energy went very smoothly, via short lines and direct communication with our contacts. Together with DAEL, we look at the next steps we can take to make our companies and locations more sustainable. ”
“We look back on a fine collaboration with DFG in which trust and efficiency were central. In a short time we have realized a smart installation that not only fits perfectly with the consumption pattern, but was also delivered within a strict deadline, ” says Jan de Wilde, Manager at DAEL Energy.
With this development, Dutch Flower Group is taking another concrete step towards more sustainable energy management using DAEL Energy. Smart, responsible and future-oriented.
